I just had an Astonishing experience during the last Star Race (concluded today at 2:am): unbelievably iCyclopeFR, apparently a gentleman in the way he writes on this thread became the rudest pirate I ever met on Inshore-VR. I was leading the race and rounded the second upwind buoy heading downwind on port, while iCyclopeFR on starboard tack change suddenly his course ignoring the second mark with the only purpose to hit me and he give me a penalty! I do not bother to report the other known pirates I occurred to meet. Nevertheless I won the race against iCyclopeFR and scored a final 5th overall.
Concluding: since VR people do not seem to care and keep on leading the longest beta-test of history of internet, I think we have to consider a new way to race inshore games, including crazy unwritten handicaps that are not proper to the true art of sailing but indeed seems to belong to this weird virtual environment.
Finally, as I don't consider -notwithstanding his name- Mr. Cyclope to belong to the lunatics category I'd appreciate to understand the reason for such rootless behavior.
