When two boats cross the finish line and are recorded with the same finish time, VR inshore assigns sequential positions to the two boats and each position has a different point value. I was expecting that the two boats would both have the average point value (rather than one getting 100pts and the other 75pts, they would both get 87.5). How does VR inshore decide which competitor should get more points for a dead heat?
