Novara Posted November 20 Posted November 20 My apologies for this forum response in English. BUT There are an increasing number of worldwide participants in the VR but having taken part in a number of races including the 2020 Vendee Globe I am disappointed that the software for the 2024 version has not kept pace with the developments of this current version of the Imoca 60's. Given that 660,000 people are taking part in the current rave I would have hoped that the software would have taken into account the speeds that we see in this latest version of the Imoca 60's and the gap between the virtual Vendee boats complete with the additional "extra". For the virtual event to be meaningful we should be able to see our virtual boats keep pace with the actual boats side by side on the race track. I would also have hoped that the software engineers had found a way to integrate modern, multi colored grib files into the software package, even if we cannot share the skippers routing software. I hope that by the 2028 event we are able to compete virtually on a par. Steve Brown NOVARA Quote
Pat-Rock Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Hy, I don't have much to add to this observation and I understand your disappointment. Sincerely Pat Quote
