Overview

First of all, a team of 10 boats (REGULAR TEAM) must be selected: 5 of these 10 boats will compete in the ELITE class (generally made up of those who use the FP, for example), while the other 5 can be part of the HALF PACK or NO MONEY categories (HALF PACK: 1 PRO sail + C0 or 1 PRO Sail + foils - NO MONEY, only equipment that can be purchased with the credits granted for this race). Other team members who have not been selected for REGULAR may compete in these categories. And finally, those who compete in these categories must declare the equipment in advance. Also planned is the NEWBIE category (skippers with a VRS greater than 40,000) for which there are no equipment limitations. Each skipper can compete in several categories. For each category, there is a team classification (if at least 5 boats are entered) and an individual classification, with the ejection of NEWBIEs, where only an individual classification is foreseen.

Congratulations to Montecristo for this great victory in the Mini Transat # 1. No change at the top of the general classification, it is still CASTIGLIONEd.PESCAIA. Behind, Montecristo took 2nd place, L.S.GIGLIO completed the podium ... Note, the beautiful climbs of L'operaleur and vergex971. The Italians are at the forefront but the Team LPP is not far behind! After the Battle between ETRUSCAN SAILS and #Les Poissons Pilotes during the Rio to Tokyo Race, a double Battle will take place over two races: "Tangier - Sao Vicente" and "Les Sables - Horta". Are the Italians going to take their revenge on the French? Answer July 16 ... What is "The Battle of Teams" ? "The Battle of Teams" is a Battle between two Teams in a race according to 3 criteria: the ranking of the best player of each team, the ranking of the worst player of each team and the Inter-Team ranking. A Team can win 3-0 or 2-1 but can also lose 0-3 or 1-2. In the future, these criteria may change.

Very soon (from September without any doubts), we will be organizing challenges within the Community on each race. But, we need YOUR ideas to make it appealing to everyone. If an idea comes to you, don't hesitate to let us know!

Hello, I'm Vectis77-ETR from #Etruscan Sails, an italian team from Tuscany. I'm happy you and Montecristo11 founded this forum and I hope to learn more and share experiences about sailing, both virtual and real. I approached this e-sport during my COVID-19 quarantine joining the VG2020. Since then I've never stopped e-sailing and eventually I met a lot of people with same passion that made this experience much more funny and challenging (thank you team for supporting me!) I'm looking forward to know more about french people and meet new sail-friends. Fair winds to everybody!
