Pastoo
Unfortunately You can't ! New feature (it's probably a glitch) in the game and many people have already complained If FullPack : indefinetely locked If not : locked by 24hours periods
Swedesailor
Then the big question is, do i loose time every time the boat changes sail itself on auto ? In that case i am utterly pissed 🤬 Swedesailor
Hardtack
The game engine employs a 0.3% tolerance on sail changes. A sail change is performed only if the another sail is more than 0.3% faster. While sailing in the tolerance zone, the engine uses the faster sail speed without inflicting the sail change penalty. That's as good as auto sails can get, imo. The 0.3% tolerance avoids unecessary sails changes iin almost all situations, and you never loose speed because of deferred sail changes. frontier_adriatic
Hi, I still don't trust my Auto Sails...atm I am sailing in 16.6 knots of wind at the angle of 80 and I am only doing 13.4 knots. Imoca shoukd be much faster, anyone similar low speeds? Does the boat selection plays roe in this case maybe?
James AXAXL
I am now sailing 2kts slower than i would be with a sail change ... how long do i have to wait for Auto Sails to change?
Alakasam
Seems I can't change sails (classic mode), from jib to spi. any reason? Strength of wind (15kts)? Disable feature? Drunken sailor?
Jaydque
Same question how long does it take to auto change the sail as losing 4 knts whilst it says a different better sail ! Why does nobody from the VR team ever respond to these questions so what is the point of posting?
VICACAPOURSO
@Jaydque Just look at all the posts on this matter and answers. I agree, much more in French than in English, but still plenty. Certainly due to lazyness of people to do a search rather than posting again and again same questions. you would read that auto sail is bring a penalty of: 75s at 50% of the speed if you have the winch pro 300s at 50% of the speed if you don't Thant the display, when changing is unfortunately not accurate until the information reach the server after 10 min. However, even if the display is wrong, info at the server will be calculated accordingly. But to read all these answers, you had to do a search very simply.
