  1. Yes,  now you are getting the picture, simply put, your boat sails directly to the waypoint. If there is a wind shift and its is unfavorable it will affect your boats performance. Plan your WP's carefully.

You can use WP's to tack to a destination, and using "AutoSails" will help keep your optimum sails and speed.  It's something you have to experiment & try to get a feel and understanding.

Also consider " Heading Programmer ":  to help keep you on course when off line.    https://virtualregatta.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001528854-What-is-the-heading-programmer-for-

Again, I highly recommend experimenting and trying it out, to really get an understanding of how it works ... and welcome to VR,  I'm sure you will get the hang of it in no time..  cheers Vector

  2. Sorry to hear that, I have been using iOS and have not experienced any major problems on VRO & VRI.  It sounds like you have done all the right things. For me it only becomes problematic when I have sketchy internet.  If it happens again check your internet speed, clear your cache or check the modem. Have you tried different browsers ?

  3. Thank you everyone for your patience during the recent problem.  We were victims of a third party crash and had to wait until the server company was back online.

We discovered that we were collateral damage from another Game that completely crashed, which resulted in the VR platform being dropped from the same company that hosts us. This set off a chain reaction that blocked users from logging in to their accounts,  apparently we were not the only company that was affected. I hope this satisfies your sense of curiosity and helps you understand what was going on behind the scenes with the Tech Crew, as we all tried hard to get the game back online as soon as possible.  Sorry for any frustration this may have caused you as  this was beyond our control.

    Happy E Sailing.

    Happy E Voile.

  4. Hello we are experiencing some technical difficulties at the moment. please stand by... we apologize for any inconvenience.

Bonjour, nous rencontrons actuellement des difficultés techniques. veuillez patienter ... nous nous excusons pour tout inconvénient.

  5. Virtual Regatta Offshore has struggled in in the past few hours.  It's possible that your boat has not behaved "normal" on the game,  and that your trajectory had been altered, as well as other features not been available.

The whole VR team has been mobilized to restore the situation as soon as possible, while the engine of the game works again, and we are optimistic,  we are still keeping the platform under close watch.

Compensation measures will be studied over the next few days according to the extent of the damage caused by the engine problem, we will keep all informed.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

    VR Crew...

  6. The engine management platform of I Virtual Regatta Offshore faces significant difficulties today.

Communication between your game interface and the engine is problematic, the game is currently on hold  and current races are currently stopped.

We are doing our best to solve this problem as quickly as possible. A catch-up or new start will be scheduled as soon as we have been able to solve the problems.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

  8. Sorry for the inconvenience,  Apple released a new iOs version last week, 95% of the issues are related to this new iOs update...

the VR tech crew are working hard to rectify the new update issues... thanks for you patience

  9. Don't worry about it, it has happened to the best of us. Also be sure you use your zoom to max when checking your 24hr projected path, and look out for the "red triangle of death" anywhere along your route.   Another thing to be aware of when using your TWA, it is prone to drift off coarse, especially with wind shifts, so be careful when sailing near land or small island infested waters. good luck..

    Cheers Mate

  10. ........ also when on your profile page in the 'personal information'  area, there is a tab just below " country, city , region" that is labeled Yacht Clubs, hopefully the one you are looking for will be on the list. sorry for the delayed response

If you do not find your yacht club in the list above, you can point that out to contact@virtualregatta.com, with the name of the club, the country of origin and an icon of the club flag (squared format png 48px).

  11. Hi, there is a quick tutorial when you click on your menu  button (top right corner, the button that looks like 3 horizontal lines)   a preference box pops up then scroll the slider all the way to the bottom and you will get see a button for a updated tutorial.

If your 3D mode is dark that means the stealth mode is activated.
The Stealth mode, once activated, is active for a period of 24 hours. It can not be disabled.
You can repeat this operation only 5 times on the race.
When you are stealthy your ranking is unavailable on the game. So other competitors can not determine your race strategy.
    Regards V
