M63-EZ Posted July 10, 2021 Author Share Posted July 10, 2021 Good morning EZ Team, It is a pleasure to write to you. In the last race where I was lucky to be first among the EZ's and 16th overall. My father (91) already said: luck follows that you work. In this case it's a game but for people who love to compete like me and many of you, I believe, it's a fun job. Imagine being sponsored to play VR, it would be really cool. Today we already have sponsored teams in VR, such as INC BUREAU VALLEE, who pay all races for their participants. Maybe in the near future we may have the same and even more. Returning to Les Sables – Horta with this Class 40, a boat I really like. At the beginning I thought I had not made a good start, but I knew that the North was the best option, as we would have stronger winds there. It worked, whoever came further north managed to gain many positions. Furthermore, at the arrival of the 1st buoy some ran aground and I was able to gain even more positions. On the way back, always escorted by @Commandant Mitchell / Bertrand , @Marius Jacob - EZ / Patrice and @M63-EZ / Maurice, I tried not to risk too much. When we arrived towards the North of Portugal we had to decide between going North or East, whoever went to the East had that endless zigzag, but it was the best option. The next day was very smooth with twa 130 and then twa 125 straight to the finish. Another thing that helped a lot in this race was that we didn't have sudden changes of wind during the nights. I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to join the team, especially @kaly-EZ / Brigitte who recruited me and @MTZ8493-EZ / Serge who always lets us know when we run aground. I tend to be guided by the zezo, but what I consider most important is to be guided by the pole of the boat, and obviously by your instinct! Hug to everyone. VR est un jeu mais, pour les gens qui aiment la compétition comme moi et beaucoup d'entre vous, je pense que c'est un travail amusant. Imaginez être sponsorisé pour jouer à la VR, ce serait vraiment cool. Aujourd'hui, nous avons déjà des équipes sponsorisées en VR, comme INC BUREAU VALLEE. Une entreprise qui paie toutes les courses des membres. Peut-être que, dans un avenir proche, nous aurons la même chose et même plus. De retour aux Sables – Horta avec ce Class 40, un bateau que j'aime beaucoup. Au début, je pensais que je n'avais pas pris un bon départ, mais je savais que le Nord était la meilleure option, car nous aurions des vents plus forts là-bas. Cela a fonctionné, celui qui est venu plus au nord a réussi à gagner de nombreuses places. De plus, à l'arrivée de la 1ère bouée certains se sont échoués et j'ai pu gagner encore plus de positions. Au retour, toujours escorté par Bertrand, Patrice et Maurice, j'ai essayé de ne pas trop prendre de risque. Quand nous sommes arrivés vers le nord du Portugal, nous avons dû décider entre aller au nord ou à l'est. Celui qui allait à l'est avait ce zigzag sans fin, mais c'était la meilleure option. Le lendemain était très fluide avec twa 130 puis twa 125 directement jusqu'à l'arrivée. Une autre chose qui a beaucoup aidé dans cette course, c'est que nous n'avons pas eu de brusques changements de vent pendant la nuit. Je tiens à remercier tout le monde pour l'opportunité de rejoindre l'équipe, en particulier @kaly-EZ / Brigitte qui m'a recruté et @MTZ8493-EZ / Serge qui m'avertit toujours quand je m'échoue. J'ai tendance à me laisser guider par le zezo, mais ce que je considère le plus important c'est d'être guidé par l'avant de mon bateau, et bien évidemment par mon instinct ! Bizoux à tout le monde.
